I look at my drawings as a form of documentation set out to comfort people. It sounds odd and maybe not all my subject matter is jolly, but my aim is for people to be endeared by my work. And for it to be remembered by its distinctive use of line which can be applied to a varied subject matter, because I think everything no matter how insignificant always has a story to tell.
