The illustrations I have produced for the degree show are based upon two projects. The first set originates from the novel 'The Officers' Ward' by Marc Dugain; it follows the lives of four patients who are undergoing maxillofacial reconstruction resulting from injuries in World War I. The second set explores the themes of being contained in a hospital environment; this was initiated by my own experiences.
I am interested in communicating difficult subject matter through illustration.
